ABOUT

Our mission

Despite the fact that Sikhs settled in Canada more than 100 years ago—making Canada home to over 450,000 Sikhs today, there is still a great deal of misinformation and confusion around Sikh culture. This need for education is what motivates us to shine a light on our achievements, history, arts, and culture. Founded in 1999, our goal is to introduce and educate the public about what it means to be a Sikh. We advocate for Sikhism and celebrate our rich history and traditions through annual events, initiatives, and special programs. The Foundation also supports public service initiatives by other charitable organizations that serve the broader needs of Canadian society.

How we work

We invest the money we raise into educational and cultural events for the public.

Our board works closely with sponsors and supporters to ensure a high level of transparency and maximum efficiency around every dollar we raise. We invite you to learn more about Sikh-Canadians, and how you can help support our mission.
