SIKH STUDIES

In 2018, we were thrilled to support the launch of a pilot program in Sikh Studies at the University of Toronto under the aegis of the Department for the Study of Religion and chaired by Professor John Kloppenborg.

The Sikh Foundation of Canada serves on the university’s advisory panel for this groundbreaking program, which is the first of its kind in Canada. It provides students with a historical and thematic introduction to the Sikh religious tradition as embedded in the socio-cultural structures of India.
